THE CALCULATION OF THE DYNAMIC PROBLEM OF A BEAM WITH ARBITRARY BOUNDARY CONDITIONS BY METHOD OF CONVOLUTION-TYPE GALERKIN METHOD

Abstract:
The convolution-type Galerkin method is proposed to calculate a beam with arbitrary boundary conditions by using a series function in time domain and the mode shape function of the beam in space domain. The example of the beam with its both ends cramped is calculated and it is shown that highly accurate results can be obtained.The approach is worth further investigation and extension.
