LINEAR BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURES BY SINGULAR-POINTS-OUTSIDE-DOMAIN METHOD

This paper presents a singular-points- outside-domain method for linear buckling analysis of plane frame structures by use of the concept of equivalent lateral loads.Static fundamental solutions are employed in the proposed method,while the complicated fundamental solutions corresponding to linear buckling problems are totally avoided.The method presented in this paper is straightforward and practical.Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
