Tribological Properties of PAMPS-PAAM Interpenetrating Polymer Network Hydrogel
PAMPS-PAAM互穿网络凝胶的摩擦性能研究

The AMPS hydrogel and AAM solution are used for the preparation of PAMPS-PAAM interpenetrating polymer network hydrogel. Tribological properties of PAMPS-PAAM hydrogel is conducted on a self-made pin-on-plate tribo-meter. The influences of contact stress, sliding velocity and lubricating conditon on the tribological properties are discussed. The results indicate that, the tribological properties of PAMPS-PAAM hydrogel is similar to that of natural cartilage under compression. At 0.7 MPa, the mechanism of cartilage pump is beneficial for the formation of lubricating film,increasing sliding speed and viscosity of lubricant are also helpful to reduce friction coffecient. PAMPS-PAAM hydrogel has the function of self-repair.
