Micro-pool lubricating tool was produced by making micro-holes filled with solid lubricant(MoS2) on the rake face of YG8 tool.The tribological properties of micro-pool lubricating tool was improved by "micro-pool" effect.Dry cutting tests were carring out on 45# steel using this kind of micro-pool tool.Results showed that friction coefficient between the tool-chip interface of micro-pool lubricating tool was greatly reduced compared with that of common YG8 tool.On the basis of SEM and EDX analysis of worn s...
