Study on Tribological Properties of Nomex Fabric Composite Treated with Hydrolyzation/Grafting
水解／接枝处理诺梅克斯纤维织物复合材料的摩擦磨损性能研究

Friction and wear behaviors of pure and hydrolyzation/grafted Nomex fabric composites were studied by using Xuanwu-III high temperature friction and wear tester.The structure and the worn surfaces of the composites were analyzed using a JSM-5600LV scanning electron microscopy and the structure of the pure and treated Nomex fabric were analyzed with IR.It is found that the wear process of Nomex fabric composites consists of the severe wear process and the steady wear process.And the severe-smooth friction process transition completes rapidly within 10 min under the low applied load,however under the high the load the friction process of the composites was at the persistent severe friction.The groups of carboxyl were introduced to the surface of the Nomex fabric,which improves the activity of the Nomex fabric and strengthen the bonding strength between the Nomex fabric and the adhesive resin.So the structural integrity of the composites was improved also.The maximum loading capacity and tribological properties of the Nomex fabric composites can be improved by hydrolyzation/graft.
