GENERALIZED GRADIENTS AND SENSITIVITIES OF MULTIPLE EIGENVALUES

This paper uses generalized gradients to investigate sensitivities of multiple eig-envalues for the generalized eigenvalue problem arising from the optimization ofstructural dynamics. The relation between the generalized gradients of multiple eig-envalues and the sensitivities defined by directional derivatives is clarified.
