MULTISCALE SYMPLECTIC GEOMETRIC ALGORITHM FOR THE WAVE EQUATIONS IN COMPOSITE MEDIA

This paper discusses the multiscale analysis and numerical algorithms for the wave equa- tions with rapidly oscillating coefficients arising from the propagation in composite media. Higher-order correctors are presented and the associated explicit convergence rates are ob- tained.A multiscale symplectic geometric scheme are introduced.The numerical results clearly show the method of this paper is effective.
