Investigation of Topographical Characteristics and Tribological Behavior of Compacted Graphite Iron in Sliding against 40Cr Steel under Different Dry Sliding Conditions
|
Abstract:
Investigations were made on the topographical features and tribological properties of compacted graphite irons in sliding against 40Cr steel at different dry sliding velocity and normal load. The results indicate that there are obvious topographical differences among the surfaces tested under varying sliding velocity and normal load. The friction and wear behavior of CG irons is closely related with the product of sliding velocity times normal load, so are the main topographical parameters with the product.
