A COMPACT SCHEME AND AN UPWIND COMPACT SCHEME FOR SOLVING AERODYNAMIC EQUATIONS

In this paper a compact and an upwind compact scheme are discussed. The compactscheme has high accuracy with little computational work. To improve accuracy near theshock an upwind compact scheme with limiter is developed to solve the 1-D shock tube pro-blem, high resolutions near the discontinuities are obtained.
