PARALLEL IMPLEMENTATION OF CHOLESKY DECOMPOSITION ON TRANSPUTER NETWORK

This paper gives a new parallel method of Cholesky decomposition for a symmetric positivedefinite matrix. It is based on the column method of Cholesky decomposition, and the featureof transputers. With the new method, the communication time is decreased, and the efficiencyof multiprocessors is promoted.
