A NOTE ON THE TRAPEZOIDAL RULE

In this paper, we propose two stifflly stable "block" methods. These methodscomprise a one-parameter family obtained by taking the linear combination of a me-thod based on the trapezoidal rule with local (or global) extrapolation on each"block" and Simpson's rule. An economic and efficient way of accurate control isgiven for each of them. Numerical examples are considered.
