STABILITY ANALYSIS FOR LEAP-FROG SCHEMES WITH ARBITRARY-ORDER ACCURACY
|
Abstract:
Feng Kang proposed in 1984 an approach to computing Hamiltonian equations fromthe viewpoint of symplectic geometry. He systematically described the general method for con-structing of symplectic schemes with any order accuracy via generating functions. The sameresults have been generalized to the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian system. In 6]the stability conditions of leap-frog schemes were discussed. In this paper leap-frog schemeswith arbitrary order accuracy for wave equations and stability eonditions for these schemesare derived.
