THE APPLICATION OF THE CONTINUATION METHOD IN THE DIRECT METHOD FOR COMPUTING HIGHER ORDER FOLDS

This paper is an improvement and supplement to 8]. We combine the algorithm in 8]with the continuation method for computing the higher order folds with singularity. The com-bination algorithm is applied successfully to the thermal ignition problem in the exothermicreaction.
