DISCONTINUITIES OF RIGHT-HAND FUNCTIONS IN DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND THEIR TRATEMENT

Abstract In this paper the relationship between discontinuities for the solution ofordinary differential equations and that for condition functions are discussed. Theconception and method of extension processing for discontinuities are presented. It isproved that the zero of a condition function with extension processing is the zeroof the condition function, which is a discontinuity point. The algorithms of proces-sing discontinuities are constructed, and numerical experiments show that the algorit-hms are efficient.
