A PARALLEL ALGORITHM FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR EQUATIONS APPLICABLE TO MIMD SYSTEMS

Abstract:
In this paper, an asynchronous parallel algorithm is presented for the solution of nonli-near systems of special form using the principles of system decomposition and matrix splittingwhich are suitable for MIMD parallel processors. The convergence proof of the algorithmsare given and some special cases discussed. Finally, some numerical results are presented.
