ON THE ENERGY CONSERVATION PROPERTIES OF THE FINITE DIFFERENCE SCHEMES IN NON-CONSERVATIVE FORM

Abstract:
The energy conservation properties of the finite difference schemes applied. to thetwo-dimensional nonsteady fluid dynamic equations are studied. Several finite differ-ence schemes which preserve the conservation of energy in Lagrangian coordinatesystem for the energy equation in non-conservative form are constructed. It is shownthat the interpolation formulae of pressure on the boundary of a cell are correspond-ing to the approximate evaluations of the kinetic energy in a cell.
