THE DIMENSION OF BIVARIATE WEAK SPLINE SPACES

Let be the triangulation consisting of a set of triangles in star(v1), ..., star(v|VI|) and let be the fixed point partition related to . In this paper, by using the well-known B-net method, a minimal determining set for bivariate weak spline space is constructed and therefore the dimension of the space is determined. As two special examples, dimensions of bivariate weak spline spaces and are given.
