Abstract:
A kinetic model for dilute solid-liquid two-phase flows with inelastic collisions was presented.Interparticle collisions were modeled using Santos and Astillero's(2005)revised BGK model,and particle-trubulence interactions were characterized with the Fokker-Planck operator.The formulated model kinetic equation was solved using the Chapman-Enskog method.The approximate solution was then adopted to derive the constitutive relationships for the conservation equations of particle phase.The new constitutive rela...
