Microstructure and application of mesoporous nanosize zirconiaKeywords: zirconia,mesoporous zeolite,nanosize,catalyst for methanol synthesis Abstract: The mesoporous nanoscale zircoina zeolite wasfirstly synthesized via solid state——Structure directing method without addition of any stabilizer. The sample bearslamellar or worm pore structures, relatively high surfacearea compared with that reported. The mesoporous nanosizestructure can also resist higher calcination temperature. Theintroduction of above zirconia to the catalyst of methanolsynthesis dedicates the nanosize particle size to the catalyst,which significantly changes the physical structure and electronic effect of the catalyst. The catalyst shows higher catalytic activity and selectivity to methanol. The active sites formethanol synthesis are demonstrated over various catalystsin this paper.
