Combined integral systems and their advanced control strategies in process industry

The definition of combined integral systems is given and its characteristics are analyzed. A new class of model-based controllers is developed specifically for this type of processes and a successful industrial application of the proposed control strategy, which improved the control accuracy and economic benefit, is reported.
