Passivity-Based Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor without Speed Sensors
|
Abstract:
This paper introduces a sensorless nonlinear control scheme for controlling the torque of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driving a known load. The states of the motor are estimated via a nonlinear reduced order observer avoiding the use of mechanical sensors. The control strategy is designed by using the passivity theory, with torque tracking evaluated on estimated values. The system performance is evaluated by simulation.
