Dynamic scheduling for steelmaking and continuous casting based on the programming model with varying constraints
|
Abstract:
In deal with the disturbances in the production of steelmaking and continuous casting, the manual scheduling responses slowly and gives un-optimal results. After examining various patterns of manual adjustment of schedule against the disturbances, we propose a non-linear programming model for online dynamic scheduling, in which the required adjustment is realized by changing the constraints. The model is solved by converting it into a linear programming model. This method has been applied to a large steel plant; resulting in an efficient reduction of the dynamic scheduling time and the redundant waiting time for molten steel, and an improvement of the load ratio of facilities.
