H-infinity filter design based on time-delay and its application to network

Abstract:
This paper is concerned with the problem of robust H-infinity filtering for uncertain linear systems with time-delay. By considering the lower and upper bounds of the time-delay, we propose a H-infinity filter design method, and employ the free-weighting-matrix method to analyze the H-infinity filter performance without ignoring any term in the derivative of the Lyapunov functional. Furthermore, the coefficient matrices of the filter are determined by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. The obtained results are extended to the filter problem of uncertain linear systems affected by the network. It can be seen that the derived results are less conservative than the existing ones. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantage of the design method.
