Model reference sliding model control for systems with backlash-like hysteresis

Abstract:
Hysteresis exits in many control fields,and often brings about the oscillation,and even instability to the system.This paper focuses on an important class of systems with backlash-like hysteresis.In analyzing the backlash-like hysteresis,it is first decomposed into certain linear part and uncertain nonlinear part with upper limit.An expected smooth trajectory is then (given.)A model reference sliding model control for this kind of systems is presented.The hysteresis is mitigated or even eliminated in tracking the expected smooth trajectory without hysteresis.The simulation results show the effectiveness of the control approach.
