Rewiew on decision-theoretic rough set model

The decision-theoretic rough set (DTRS) was proposed in early 1990s, which is an important topic of rough set theory and has become a focus subject in related research areas. A main contribution of this paper was to review the theory foundations and developments of DTRS and its applications. A brief introduction of the theoretical foundation of DTRS was presented, and the background, related probabilistic rough set models were compared. A three-way decision semantics and a newly proposed definitions of reduct in DTRS were introduced based on recent reseach results, and the applications of DTRS in related research area were reviewed.
