A method of reducing PAPR on OFDM systems

Abstract:
Against the disadvantages of the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in OFDM system, the method to use carrier interferometry to reduce the PAPR was improved. The method of making the average of k signals of IFFT to replace the original one was adopted to reduce peak power system and decrease PAPR. The theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the scheme can reduce peak power significantly, and reduction of PAPR is also achieved further. The method is simple, without distortion and transmission of side information, and it can also make good value between CCDF and BER, convenient to be combined with other techniques and valuable to be applied with good feasibility.
