A superposition based optimization scheme for downlink cellular system
|
Abstract:
Although the traditional network coding scheme can improve the transmission performance of wireless communication system by reducing the transmission packets in the system, it still has problems in conserving resources and enhancing capacity. Based on the theory of traditional network coding, this paper investigates a superposition coding scheme for downlink transmission which can optimize the transmit power of base station. In the approach, the base station can transmit messages in a superposition way by use of the channel states division through collaborating with users. Thereby it is possible to reduce the average transmit power of the base station and improve the capacity of the system. The comparison between the performances of the superposition scheme and traditional network coding in a power constraint condition and the simulation results show that the superposition scheme can achieve much better system capacity.
