A new power allocation scheme of closed loop orthogonal space-time block codes

Abstract:
To raise the bit error performance and capacity of closed loop Orthogonal Space-Time Block Code (OSTBC) system at quasi-static fading scenario, we propose a new power allocation scheme by maximizing the nonintersecting item of equivalent channel instantaneous symbol signal-to-noise ratio. Furthermore, we theoretically prove that the new scheme can achieve better signal-to-noise ratio than both equal powered allocation scheme and unequal powered allocation scheme proposed by other scholars. Simulation results prove the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
