An integrity check method for fine-grained data based on Steiner triple system

Abstract:
Fine-grained data integrity check can not only check the integrity of the data but also isolate the damaged data objects accurately and efficiently. The method could mitigate the disastrous effect that all the data become invalid caused by accidental errors or intentional forging modification. To improve the error indication efficiency, a novel data integrity indication code is proposed based on combinatorial relationship of Steiner triple system. The construction principle of the integrity indication code is presented and the performances of the code are analyzed. Analysis and experimental results show that this code is effective with higher compression ratio.
