A Rough Set based video shot detection method
一种基于Rough Set的视频镜头检测方法

Shot detection is the basis of content-based video retrieval. Video files have the characters of huge data volumes and low level of abstraction, and effective storage and retrieval the video files becomes issues that need to be solved urgently. According to coding characteristics of MPEG, a rough-set-based video shot detection method is proposed. It can distinguish shot motion and gradual shot boundaries accurately. Experiments show that this method can provide satisfactory shot detection effects.
