Adaptive rate control for priority progress video streaming over wireless channel
|
Abstract:
Mobile video streaming is a technique that the receiver could continuously view the video content while receiving the data. Under the framework of mobile video streaming, inorder to reduce the fluctuant effects caused by wireless network, an adaptive rate control method is presented for priority process streaming with QoS control. And the transmitting data rate can adapt to a suitable level according to the network status. Both cases with and without the proposed methods were examined and the result shows the proposed modal is able to improve the overall performance in cases when the channel conditions fluctuate.
