Web performance testing is a crucial step in the Web application development. However, the complexity of Web and unpredictable operation of its users make it very difficult to test the performance of Web. As a result, most performance testings involved are inaccurate and impractical, which fail to reflect the real condition sometimes even be misleading. This thesis first explains the importance, concept and procedure of web performance testing; also introduces the current study in the field. Then it presents some important measures in the progress and at last summarize the thesis with a view of future.
