A Framework for Migrating C/S Architectual Legacy Systems to the SOA

Legacy system is vital to organizations. With the increasing change of business environment, they are e- volved with new emerged technologies. Web Service and service-oriented architectures enable us to evolve legacy sys- tem in service-oriented computing environment. Traditional approaches to integrate legacy systems with Web service technology are wrapping a legacy system as a black-box without adequate system understanding. In this paper, we pro- pose a reengineering approach which package and understanding the legacy systems. It not only can identify and pack- age service, but also migrate legacy system into service-oriented architectures.
