The Applied Character and Technical Advance of EDI for the Basic Technology of EC

At first,this paper briefly introduces the interactive and interdependent relation between application and technology for EDI. Besides that, it points out that because of the introduction of the language of XML, the application and development of the EDI have been developed to a new stage-XMLEDI. Finally, it puts forward the model for the development of XMLEDI.
