An Architecture-oriented Visual Environment for Service Integration Artemis-VIDE

In this paper, a visual development environment for architecture-oriented integration of software service is proposed and prototypically implemented. Within this environment, the software architecture of an application can be graphically specified and automatically translated into a runtime object providing architectural context for the operation and reconfiguration of the application system. Facilities such as service discovery and graph grammar-based architecture checking are also integrated into this environment to provide a consistent, easy-to-use and extensible supporting platform for the development, execution, monitoring and dynamic evolution of service-oriented application systems.
