The Improvement of EZW Coding Based on Multi-Wavelet Transform

Multi-wavelet has some very important properties such as orthogonality, symmetry, and short support, which makes up for the shortcoming of scalar wavelet. Propose a new image compression method which is based on multi-wavelet transform. Select the corresponding improvement coding method with the change of multi-wavelet. The results show that the new method can obtains high peak signal-to-nose ratio(PSNR).
