On Federated Database System

In the heterogenous mulit-databases environment, the interoperability of different database systems is becoming more and more important. Now there are four main ways to handle it, such as gateway, mulit-database system, distributed database system, federated database system. In this paper,we compare and analyze them by networking method,and we think federated database system is a better choice. In addition,we introduce the design structure of the federated database system-LNFDBS being developed by us.
