Flow Control for Multicast: A Weighted Cost-Benefit Approach
|
Abstract:
This paper presents a weighted cost-benefit approach based on multicast. Grounded on overlay network model, its principal idea is to construct cost function and benefit function. When estimated benefit is more than cost, multicast request is accepted. This paper demonstrates its application in packet-switched networks and points out its merits and shortcomings.
