A Design for G-WebService Based on RM-ODP Model

Web Service,as a new standard framework for distributed computing,is to solve the existing problem of cross-platform communication and collaboration between distributed applications. Evolving from the Web Service architecture ,G-WebService frame work, which is the definite substitute of WebGIS, will change the existing spatial information applications into geo-services. This paper first introduces the Web Service concept and the related standards, and then discusses the G-WebService architecture and implementation from five viewpoints, which is based on RM-ODP.
