On the Security Mechanism in HTTP

This paper analyses the security mechanism in HTTP. It includes basic authentication and its flaws in HTTP/1.0,digest access authentication in HTTP/1.1,proxy authentication,privacy,and cookie’s influence on privacy.For those in e-commerce,S-HTTP is also briefly discussed.
