Current Directions in Supervised Learning Research

Supervised learning is very important in machine learning area. It has been making great progress in many directions. This article summarizes three of these directions,which are the hot problems in supervised learning field. These three directions are (a) improving classification accuracy by learning ensembles of classifiers, (b) methods for scaling up supervised learning algorithm, (c) extracting understandable rules from classifiers.
