Selective Recovery of Self-healing Database System
|
Abstract:
Selective recover allows a self-healing database to undo only errors/intrusions and those suspect transactions affected by errors/intrusions, while preserving the unaffected transactions, after being compromised by a human error or a malicious attack. This paper presents a new selective recovery mechanism which records inter-transaction dependency information, before image dates written by each transaction and transaction statement, respectively by inter-transaction dependency log, write log and transaction statement log. The database can restores its consistency after being compromised.
