Dual quaternion of space resection with single-image

Abstract:
The theory of dual quaternion is introduced into the field of space resection.A new algorithm which uses dual quaternions to describe the position and attitude of space resection is presented.First,dual quaternions are used to describe the rotation and translation between different coordinate systems,then the strict collinear equation is linearized and calculated using an iterative method according to indirect adjustment with constraints.Our result show that the stability and reliability of the method are independent from the images initial position and orientation.Furthermore,the algorithm uses less time for the solution and can be applied to different inclinations,different heights,different sensing platforms,with a higher precision in location.
