Design and Implementation of P2P Based Live Streaming System for STB Client
面向嵌入式机顶盒终端的P2P网络电视直播系统的设计与实现

IPTV live streaming systems with client-sever based content delivery infrastructures cannot provide service to mass clients due to their high requirement of server hardware configuration and network bandwidth.This paper presents a P2P(point-to-poinu) based live streaming system-"Clear Live",which tries to achieve better scalability than client-server based system.While current popular P2P IPTV systems support only PC client,our system mainly supports STB client and is compatible with PC client."Clear Live" is properly designed according to the characteristic of STB client and application environment of IPTV.The test result of system shows that "Clear Live" can provide high quality live streaming service to vast number of clients with low cost.
