A powdery mildew fungus parasitizing sand binder Hexinia polydichotoma
|
Abstract:
During 2009 and 2011, biodiversity of powdery mildew fungi was investigated in Tarim basin, Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China. A powdery mildew was found to be very seriously epidemic on sand binder Hexinia polydichotoma. Morphological observation and rDNA-ITS sequence analysis have proved that the pathogen belongs to Leveillula lactucae-serriolae. This pathogen was first reported in China, and H. polydichotoma was a new host for powdery mildew fungi.
