STUDIES ON THE GENERA AMPHISPHAERELLA,CONIOCHAETA AND ROSELLINIA OF XINJIANG,CHINA

Abstract:
Seven species and one variety in the three genera,Amphisphaerella Coniochaeta and Rosellinia,occurring in Xinjiang,China were treated in this paper.Coniochaeta haloxy- lonis (B.Kravtz.) Z.Q.Yuan & Z.Y.Zhao com.nov.,a new combination based on Rosellonia haloxyli B.Kfaxtz.,is characterized by having oblong cylindrical ascospores with a length/ width ratio of 2.5,lacking setae on perithecium and associating with desert plants.Amphis- phaerella xylostei,Coniochata ligniria,Rosellinia thelena and R.apiculata var.macrospora are recorded for the first time from China. All specimens metioned in this paper are deposited in the Herbarium of Mycology,August 1st Agricultural College (HMAAC),Xinjiang,China.
