Hairy roots of Panax quinquefolium L.were induced from the root explants of two-year old Panax quinquefolium L.by Agrobacterium rhizogenes A4 with direct inoculation,the cultured clones of the hairy roots were established on solid 1/2 MS and MS mediums.After several times of subcultures,the hairy roots still maintained vigorous growth.After the determination of UV-spectrophotometry,the total ginsenosides content in the hairy root came up to 3.88%.The suitable culture conditions for Panax quinquefolium L.hai...
