DETERMINATION OF ESTERASE ISOENZYMES OF RHIZOCTONIA CEREALIS AND RHIZOCTONIA SOLANI FROM BARLEY IN JIANGSU
|
Abstract:
The esterase isoenzyme patterns of 16 standards strains in 16 AGs or sub-AGs and 52 solates from barley in 9 AGs or sub-AGs of Rhizoctonia cerealis and R.solani were ana- lysed with the slab polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The results showed:1.Main bands of R.solani were more variable than those of R.cerealis;2.there were marked differences among the patterns of 9 AGs or sub-AGs of R.cerealis and R.solani from barley but similar patterns were shown within AGs or sub-AGs;3.there were some differences among the esterase isoen- zyme patterns of 44 isolates in CAG-1 of R.cerealis from barley but a common main band (E_4) was shaown;4.according to the number and relative position of esterase isoenzyme bands 44 isolates in CAG-1 may be classified into 2 types and 5 sub-types.The esterase patterns had no relation to the pathogenicity or host varieties but they were related to the geographic origins.
