CROSS-BREEDING OF PHOLIOTA ADIPOSA
|
Abstract:
Purified strain WT3 and GD3 of wild Pholiota adiposa collected at Wutai Mountain and Guandi Mountain area of Shanxi province were taken as testing material. In the present study, the mycelia bourgeon of Pholiota adiposa basidiospores and their mating characteristic was observed using microscope. We discovered that the basidiospores bourgeoned mycelia on PDA culture medium from their one end, with their width of 3~4 m, and then producing ramification and extending around. From the experimental results, it is showed that the uninucleate mycelium could formed a primordium-like convexity, but with no fecundity, and that the clamp connections generated from mating between two uninucleate mycelia is representative trait for forming dicaryotic mycelium, with good fecundity.
