Notes on Megasporoporia (Basidiomycota, Polyporales) in China

1 INTRODUCTION Megasporoporia Ryvarden & J.E.Wright is characterized by large pores,long and cylindrical to ellipsoid basidiospores,clamp connections on generative hyphae,and by dextrinoid skeletal hyphae with arboriform branches(the so-called skeleto-binding hyphae),and plenty of hyphal pegs and dendrohyphidia present in most species.Species of the genus causes a white rot on angiosperm wood.Six species of Megasporoporia were recorded from China previously(Hattori & Zang 1995; Dai & Li 2002; Dai & Wu 2004; Dai et al.2004; Cui & Dai 2007).
